Wild At Heart Ranch is located in the village of Belish near Troyan, in the Central Balkan mountains, close to Beklemeto Pass and the Old Roman Road. Up here the forests open into wide ridges and alpine meadows, and on a clear day the mountains roll on to the horizon in every direction.
It is a landscape made for horses: free ranging herds, cattle and sheep with their shepherds and dogs, the Arch of Freedom watching over the pass, and Botev, the highest peak of the Balkan, within reach.

The roads up to the pass are winding and beautiful, so allow some extra time and plan to arrive in daylight. Mobile reception can be patchy in the mountains: save the meeting point on your phone before you set off.
